REMINDER OF MEMBER OBLIGATION FOR 2012

The annual membership dues for SMTAR are due and payable on January 1, 2012.  Members should be aware of the following information when paying their dues:

• The Early Bird Discount expires at midnight on December 31,2011

• Your invoice is located here.

• Before you can access your invoice, you will need to REGISTER FOR ACCESS TO THE SITE.  A user name and password HAS NOT been created for you!  This website has been in place for a long time (years!), so some members may have registered a long time ago.  If you follow the steps to register, the system will let you know if you have already set up your profile.  If this is the case, just click the options for "Forgot Your Username" and/or "Forgot Your Password" on the REALTOR.org website.

• We can accept payments at the SMTAR office located at 304 River Road in Columbia.  Our office hours are 8:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday.  However, we will be CLOSED on January 2 in addition to those closings that have already passed us by for Christmas and New Year's Eve.

• All attempts to notify you of this member obligation have been made by E-MAIL.  Notifications have been sent to our Affiliate members via regular post.  If you did NOT receive notice by e-mail, be sure to click the "My Account" link after you register to update your e-mail address in the REALTOR.org website.  Or, you may contact us via e-mail to make this update.

• While the payment due date is January 1, 2012, a grace period is in place until January 15th that will delay application of late penalties and the Reinstatement Fee.

• After the grace period, your membership with SMTAR will be terminated if you have not paid.

  • If you are a Principle Broker, this means that the memberships for all agents in your office will be terminated.  All services to your firm will be stopped, including lockbox, Sentricard, TAR Forms and RealTracs.

  • If you are not the Principle Broker of your firm, your individual services will be stopped (Sentricard, lockbox, TAR forms, etc.)  A NonMember Assessment will be billed to your Principle Broker.  This Assessment will be the sum of the Local, State & National Dues.
